Three hours in Shanghai with Anthony Reed.
Anthony lives in Shanghai and was my digitech on an advertising commission.
I was only in China for three days and at the end only had three hours free. Fortunately Anthony was able to show me around via bicycle. We found this site which was locked up. Managed to persuade the security to allow us in.
It was a surreal experience. The city was in a state of tension between the old and new with urban decay frozen in time before this site was developed.
It would be interesting to return in a few years. I imagine this area will be full of high rises.
